Apple iPhone & iPad IMAP settings

NOTE! Best practices are not to use these settings, and instead, setup your iPhone to use ActiveSync/Exchange, which gives you push mail, plus contact and calendar sync. If you prefer to have push mail, you can choose to use ActiveSync/Exchange for mail only, and deactivate the calendar/contact syncing, use Cal/CardDav instead for calendar and contact sync, if for instance, you want push mail, but also to share calendars with each other. There are reasons to use IMAP, however, such as wanting access to all your old email, instead of just the last month or so.

Have you got 2-step authentication setup? If so, you must first create an application passcode for your email application, using the webmail client, in Preferences > Accounts > Account Security, and use that as your password. To setup your zMailCloud account as IMAP on your iPhone/iPad, please follow these steps:

On your iPhone or iPad, navigate to Settings

Next, click on Accounts & passwords

Select Add Account

For the account type, select Other

Select Add Mail Account

Enter your account information:

Name: your name

Email: your full zMailCloud email address

Password: your account password

Description: your full zMailCloud email address

Click Next 

In the new account window, select IMAPthen enter your Incoming Mail Server information

Host Name: Use yourcustomaddress.zmailcloud.com  If you are unsure what your custom server address is, please ask your Administrator or contact our support team at: support@zmailcloud.com

User Name: your full email address

Password: your password

Next, enter your Outgoing Mail Server information:

Host Name: Use yourcustomaddress.zmailcloud.com  If you are unsure what your custom server address is, please ask your Administrator or contact our support team at: support@zmailcloud.com

User Name: your full email address

Password: your password

Click Next

On the account summary screen, select which items to sync and click Save
