Webmail client best practices
- Want better performance? Try a few different web browsers. Due to differences between systems, it's challenging to recommend one over another. Please at least try both Firefox, and Chrome.
- Only open one session at a time. In other words, don't only close the browser's window or tab, but also log out (from under your name in the upper right-hand corner), before you log in again. Many of us have many browser tabs open. Use care that you're not logged into your webmail in more than one of them, else you may experience performance issues, such as the error "message does not exist."
- Time-zones. Be careful of time-zone information. It should be set in your Preferences and included in your events, and may be affected by how time/date is set in your operating system. If care isn't taken, you may discover your events are showing up at incorrect times, and even on incorrect days.
- Avoid using special characters, e.g.: @, $ or *, in your naming conventions for mailboxes, personas, and especially for folders/directories.
- Use 2-step authentication to virtually eliminate the risk of your mailbox being compromised. See: [Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)](https://admin.cloudiance.com/knowledgebase.php?action=displayarticle&catid=2&id=6)
