4 Key Announcements:

 

• Zimbra 10 upgrade. In 2025 we completed the upgrade from Zimbra 9 to Zimbra 10.1+. All customers, across all hosting environments have received the upgrade to Zimbra 10.1+. Please see below for an overview of some of its new features.

• Portal upgrades. We have upgraded the Cloudiance Admin Portal, so you may add, and delete domains and domain aliases directly, as well as manage all your mailboxes, and login to them.

• Integrating Reputation Management. This year we're planning on adding an upgraded Reputation Management service to all mailboxes, to better protect against malicious use of your mailboxes to send spam. When we introduce this service for all mailboxes, we intend to do so at no additional cost (formerly $2/mailbox/month). Among planned features, we expect you will be able to use the advanced anti-spam and virus service (ASAV) to view a log of all outbound emails from your domain, and improved detection, and stoppage of compromised mailboxes.

• Price change as of 1/1/26, so that we can support new security features we're planning on introducing this year, as well as the continued rising cost of software licensing, and hosting at top-tier data centers (Google & Amazon), we're adding $2 to the cost of each mailbox, and archive. If you'd like a pricing overview, you may always find it publicly available on our website: https://www.cloudiance.com/pricing

Zimbra 10.1+ feature overview

 

Improved performance and user experience in the Modern UI, such as faster conversation loading and the ability to remove recipients with a click. It also introduces features like exporting emails as EML files, shared folder synchronization controls for mobile, and enhanced dark mode and chat functionalities. Security enhancements were a major focus. Zimbra chat has been added, and we plan to roll that out to you as an option later this year. If you're interested in testing it out early, please open a ticket with a request to "enable Zimbra chat."

Performance and user experience changes include:

 
  • Modern Web App:
    • Smart Conversation Loading: Improves performance for large or long email threads.
    • Recipient Removal: Easily remove recipients from emails with a simple click.
    • Smart Scroll Handling: The chat interface now automatically scrolls to new messages.
    • "Show Original" option: Added to the calendar to view the raw content of an event.
  • General:
      • Improved Dark Mode: Enhanced color contrast for better visibility.
      • Performance Enhancements: Improvements to the Modern UI and Zimbra Desktop.
  • Shared Folder Sync: Option to choose which shared folders to sync to mobile devices.
  • Web Accessibility: Enhancements to meet WCAG standards.

Other upgrades

To review, some of the other upgrades we've made over the last three years include:

  • Are you using the latest & best method to instantly sync your iPhone's email, contacts and calendars?
  • Higher reliability, and reliability metrics (averaging greater than 99.9%) 
  • Upgrades to features and functionality of the web client (Zimbra 9... now testing version 10)
  • Improved integration and functionality of Advanced Anti-spam/virus system 
  • Enchancements to the Billing & Support portal (self-management of domain aliases, & mailboxes, etc.)
  • New integrated, optional products
    • Email encryption portal: send encrypted invitations to recipients to view email securely online
    • Digital loss prevention (DLP): test outbound email for unencrypted private information (such as SSN)
    • Reputation Protection anti-phishing service (URL rewrites): prevent users from clicking on links that will compromise their systems (can be enabled through the portal's email management)
    • Revised KeepSafe, email archiving: retain separate, private cache of all inbound/outbound email & attachments
  • Exclusive Hosting: free migration to even more customizable solution (requires 30+ mailboxes)
